Available information for the file sftservice.exe is minimal. Other than being a process called SoftThinks Agent Service for Dell DataSafe Local Backup, there seems to be no other description of the file. Dell DataSafe is a backup and recovery software that enables users to protect system files and data in cases of hardware failure, virus intrusions, unintentional deletion of files, and OS malfunctions. Users can choose the files that they want to backup, and the location where they want the backup files to be stored, whether to an internal hard drive or an external drive connected to the computer. There is also an option to run scheduled backups. The file can be found in C:\Program Files, with the standard path, C:\Proragm Files\Dell DataSafe Local Backup\ sftservice.exe. The file is a background task that runs with the software that installed it. It can be disabled upon the user’s discretion. File size is only around 2 MB.
