The sftdcc.exe file is a type of a Windows process, and is a component of the application Softricity SoftGrid, which is developed by Softricity, Inc. Now known as Microsoft Application Virtualization Desktop Configuration Controller, or simply Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V), Softricity SoftGrid is considered to be a solution of an application virtualization and streaming. It has the capability to enable various applications to be streamed or deployed in real-time to users or clients, who are connected to the virtual application server. Softgrid basically represents the entry of Microsoft to the application virtualization market, as well as to other technologies related to virtualization. The program, and the sftdcc.exe file, replaces the local installation of applications. When this program is installed, all data and information are permanently saved on the virtual application server, and enables centralized installation, including management, of any deployed applications. Administrators are able to restrict access to the applications, providing limits of right of entry to users or clients.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sftdcc.exe. is used by Softricity SoftGrid or Microsoft Application Virtualization, If you shut down sftdcc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sftdcc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Softricity SoftGrid or Microsoft Application Virtualization, from your system.
