The process sb.exe is an executable file found in the folder “C:\Windows\System32”. This process is also called Scroll Button Control or Acer Soft Button. This is a process used by the software Scroll Button Control. This software was designed by MiTAC Technology Corporation. This process has a visible icon on the system tray but it does not have a display window when running. This process cannot be uninstalled from the computer and is not a Windows system file so it does not affect the performance of the PC although having many other processes installed can slow down the computer. This has a technical security rating of only 1% dangerous meaning it does not really pose serious threat to the computer system but if found to be located in the “C:\Program Files” subfolder, security rating will go up to 26% dangerous. This has a standard 241,664 bytes size on Windows XP and 7 operating systems.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sb.exe. is used by Scroll Button Control, If you shut down sb.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sb.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Scroll Button Control, from your system.
