What is  root.exe

The file root.exe, known as Phoenix Service Software, belongs to software Microsoft Visual Studio from Microsoft. Visual Studio is a suite of component-based software development tools and other techniques for building software applications. It does not support any programing language intrinsically, but instead allows the plugging of functionality coded as VSP package, which when installed, is available as a Service. This programming software is used to build apps for the Windows Store, desktop, mobile, ASP.NET Web apps, and XML Web services. Users can write code in Visual Basic, Visual C#, Visual Basic C++, Visual F# and JavaScript, or create mixed-language solutions more easily. Other supported programming languages include Python, M, Ruby and others that may be installed through language services. Visual Basic contains a debugger that works in both native and managed code, which debugs applications written in any language that is supported by Visual Studio.
