What is retroclient.exe
The process retroclient.exe is an executable file known as Retrospect or Retrospect Client. This has been developed by Dantz Development or EMC Dantz or EMC for the software Retrospect or Retrospect Client. The Retrospect Client software is mainly used for recovering data from the server in cases where unexpected shutdowns or computer crashes happen. The software encrypts the data before sending it to the server for storage and for future retrieval. When a user can get access to a computer with an available internet connection, the data sent to the server can be located through the Retrospect Client software and retrieved or reinstalled on a working PC. The Retrospect Client serves as a computer’s backup utility. The software’s process, retroclient.exe, is a visible application on the Task Manager. When installing this process or software into the computer, users have to be wary of possible virus attacks. It is during the installation process that this program is very vulnerable.
