The regopt.exe process was designed by the X.M.Y. International Company under the WinASO Register Optimizer software. The WinASO Register Optimizer or the Windows Advanced System Optimizer is compatible software to Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 2003, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. Having this installed on a user’s computer may be useful in boosting the system’s performance. The main task of this optimizer software is to keep the computer registry clean from very old data stored from long time ago that may affect the speed of a computer as well as the total performance from downloading to uploading and the like. Cleaning a computer registry is not an easy task as the registry commands may be complex. Installing the right and compatible software into a computer may do the job well. users do not have to worry about manually cleaning their registries when they have an available software to do it for them.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. regopt.exe. is used by WinASO Register Optimizer, If you shut down regopt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop regopt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is WinASO Register Optimizer, from your system.
