The rapportservice.exe process is also known as Trusteer Rapport which was created by the Trusteer Ltd. It is a part of Rapport Service from Trusteer Ltd. Trusteer is an IT security firm which is responsible for the development of the Trusteer Rapport security software. It is a lightweight security software and was created in order to protect important and confidential data like account credentials to prevent malicious contents such as malware from stealing the data; this program also protects data from phishing. To attain this goal, the process puts in anti-phishing measures to increase the protection of data against misdirection as well as attempting to prevent malicious threats from screen scraping the data. The rapportservice.exe process can also be used to induce banking safety by revealing a tag in a user’s browser to ensure that the site is secure or not.
