The file r_server.exe is an execution file that belongs to the series of files that implement the program Radmin, or remote administrator, which is created by Fametech. This is found on the computer’s server that runs in the background, although not visible, once the Windows operating system starts. It has an icon located on the system tray of the taskbar that lets the user know if it is connected to a network, actively running, or not. This application allows a user to have the control or remote of computers connected to it via network. With that said, a user has the power to supervise and detect all connected systems through this file. As the network administrator, he also can manipulate other users or clients such as initiating restrictions, providing access, and promoting other functions for all connected systems. Once this is open from the system tray, the user interface comes out which lets the administrator does anything to its settings or network configuration. The same file on the computer or system of other users allows them to connect their server to get access of what is shared by the network administrator.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. r_server.exe. is used by  Radmin, If you shut down r_server.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop r_server.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is  Radmin, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as  Radmin, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
