The process printkey2000.exe is the file that executes the PrintKey 2000 application that is used for operating system. This is an application that enables a user to take a picture (snapshot) of whatever is on the screen of his computer. The user is going to simply press the key “PRTSC SYSRQ”, which stands for Print Screen, on the computer keyboard. After pressing that key, the user can use any program, such as “Paint”, where to paste the snapped screen by keying CTRL+V. The use then can have the option to edit its brightness, contrast, size, etc. and save it as JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF or PCX. This application has three main menus which are the File, Options, and About. There are also Picture Options and Printer Options in tabs that a user can select from the right side of the computer window. The Change Size tab is another option in which a user can edit the size of the captured photo.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. printkey2000.exe. is used by PrintKey 2000, If you shut down printkey2000.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop printkey2000.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is PrintKey 2000, from your system.
