The file pmcloader.exe, known as the process PMCLoader, belongs to the software TV Center Pro from Pinnacle Systems GmbH, which is fully featured TV viewing and PVR application for Windows XP and Vista. PVR (personal video recorder) records television data in digital format like MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, and stores the data in the hard drive. The executable process pmcloader.exe in the application TV Center Pro provides the programming information and the ability for the computer system to encode and save the data stream. The hardware supported by this application are PCTV HD Card (800i), PCTV mini Stick (80e), PCTV HD Stick (800e and 800e SE), and PCTV HD Pro Stick (801e, 801e SE). The 5.4 version of this application has a direct link with Titan TV.com, which is a free and user-friendly Internet-based program guide that can be used for scheduling recordings with TV Center Pro. Users of previous versions (until version 4.98) can continue to use the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) that is integrated with the software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pmcloader.exe. is used by TV Center Pro, If you shut down pmcloader.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pmcloader.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TV Center Pro, from your system.
