What is  plfset.dll

The module plfset.dll belongs to InstaUtil, a non-system process that is used to install service applications into the computer. InstaUtil is a command-line utility with the executable process InstaUtil.exe. It is able to find all Installer types by using the dll files contained in plfset.dll, and inspecting the specified assembly with the RunInstallerAttribute set to true to enable it to execute its functionality. Users can use this application by choosing the Install Method or Uninstall Method on each instance of the Installer type. Installation is done in a transactional manner, that means if one of the assemblies fails to install, it rolls back to the installation of all other assemblies. This tool is automatically installed with Visual Studio or Windows SDK. Visual Studio is an integrated design environment (IDE) from Microsoft that aids users in the development of applications. The service applications found in this software include Windows Forms Designer, WPF Designer, Web Design and Development, Mapping Designer, Class Designer, and Data Designer.
