The file pclepci.sys known as PCLEPSI is a driver for Pinnacle Studio from Pinnacle Systems. Pinnacle Studio is non-linear video editing software that is available as a family of six applications with variable capabilities and features. Pinnacle Studio 16 features tools for HD and 3D video editing, with integral cloud access that allows import of videos to iPad. Pinnacle Studio 16 Plus has added tools for video editing which are the key-framed effects controls, Blu-ray disc authoring, and simultaneous source and timeline viewing. The more powerful application Pinnacle Studio Ultimate provides tools for the creation of professional-looking 3D and HD videos, with premium Red Giant plugins and the green effect tool. The other applications are Pinnacle Studio for iPad that allows video editing and exporting of projects to a PC, and the Studio with Hardware, which combines video capture capabilities with comprehensive video editing tools.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pclepci.sys. is used by Pinnacle Studio, If you shut down pclepci.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pclepci.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Pinnacle Studio, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
