What is pav.exe
The file pav.exe is also called the PER Antivirus, which is the core component of the antivirus software AntiVer. The compacted size is 1.5 MB, and it functions effectively to remove all types of malware, from trojans, macro, worm, and all kinds of malware. It can detect and destroy viruses in Java scripts, HTML, and Visual Basic Scripts, and other programming languages, under the formats .exe, .vbs, .htr, .hta, and other formats including hidden files. There is however, a rogue spyware identified as Personal Antivirus with executable file pav.exe that is offered online as a free download. Even if all related files are deleted, the pav.exe virus persists and the program actually writes a large number of random files on the computer that cannot be deleted. There are random coded files that the computer needs to run properly, and these random files can reinstate the malware pav.exe. This malware can gain private information by logging the user's keystrokes and Internet logging tendencies, then sends the information to a remote server. When in doubt of the legitimacy of the file pav.exe, users should seek appropriate antivirus software that can establish the identity of the file, whether it is legitimate or malware.
