What is  osdmanager.exe

The file osdmanager.exe executes a process called On Screen Display Utility which is part of the software for HP My Display TouchSmart OSD. The file is verified and published by Portrait Displays, Inc. File version 1.0.0.1 installs on a 64-bit Windows platform and has a standard size of 430.61 KB. The file was found to slow down CPU speed because it was consuming resources up to 70% of total CPU resources. This was the most common file issue that users mentioned. Disabling the file, as they later found out, only works temporarily because it simply re-installs itself as a startup task when the system reboots. It was later recommended by the same users that complete removal of the file was the best option. In other words, completely uninstalling the file was the general solution undertaken to prevent the process from eating up too much of CPU resources. You can find the file in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP My Display TouchSmart Edition\osdmanager.exe.
