The process opware14.exe is associated with the file OmniPage Pro by ScanSoft. The OmniPage Pro is an OCR Program (Optical Character Recognition) Software. The main purpose of this software is to recognize characters that are written or presented in different media forms, and convert them into a platform that can be accessed by the computer. An example of which is a handwritted letter that will be scanned and converted into a Word Document file. OmniPage Pro will be the program used to facilitate this conversion. When the file is converted, the user can make any changes and save the file as they would a regular document which was created through regular input tools. The applications of this software include legal, healthcare and financial fields.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. opware14.exe. is used by OmniPage Pro by ScanSoft (now Nuance), If you shut down opware14.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
