What is  nwiz.exe

The process that is launched with the executable file nwiz.exe is the NVidia nView Wizard. This is genrally available with drivers for the later versions of NVidia graphics cards – usually, those manufactured from the year 2002 and up. The process icon is located in your computer’s Control Panel, and it is from this window that you can use all the features that are included in the nView Wizard. Basically, the file enables you to configure the features of your NVidia graphics cards; from display theme to resolution, dual display when another monitor is connected to the computer, and general monitor calibration. The file is listed in your Startup Services as NWIZ. If you have configured your graphics cards using the applications provided by the process installed with nwiz.exe, NWIZ will install the changes you have made upon computer boot-up. If you have not made any changes, NWIZ will immediately terminate after startup. If changes were made, it will remain running in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nwiz.exe. is used by Nvidia nView Wizard, If you shut down nwiz.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop nwiz.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Nvidia nView Wizard, from your system.
