What is  notepad.dll

The notepad.dll file has been reported to be an executable process associated with the Trojan:Win32/Opachki.A family of malicious programs. Some user reports claimed that the notepad.dll file is integrated with a set of malicious functionalities normally found in other variants of this Trojan family. Among these features is the ability to search for vulnerable backdoor system ports and exploit it by initiating TCP/IP connections through those exploited network ports, in order to start downloading other malicious programs from predesignated Web servers and opening these ports for possible remote access by the authors of the notepad.dll process. There were also user reports stating that the malicious programs usually downloaded by the notepad.dll file are commonly integrated with the ability to gather private data stored in the system and Internet browsing information from the default Web browser, and these malicious programs can then transmit this collected data to predesignated servers on the Internet. The notepad.dll file has also been reported to be capable of initializing during system startup and operating in the background during system runtime without the user's consent, because of the entries and keys it can create and enter into the Windows System Registry of the infected system at the time of its penetration into the Windows-based computer.
