What is  nmssvc.exe

The nmssvc.exe process enables the functionalities of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The user should allow the EXE file to run continuously in the background as long as the protocol used between the computer and the network is SNMP. The EXE file is a component of Network Interface Card (NIC) Management Service. This is a diagnostics program developed for the Intel Pro family network cards. So the EXE file is a diagnostic utility which Intel network cards use. These network cards are called Network Interface Cards or NIC. The user can run the file when he or she is experiencing difficulties in connecting to the network when using the Intel NIC. There is no need to run the file if the NIC is working properly or if the NIC is not an Intel product. The nmssvc.exe process is executed along with the NIC Management Service software version 2.2.0.
