The nmindexstoresvr.exe process is a component of the Nero Scout which comes with the Nero CD/DVD Burning 7. Nero is a global software company which is widely known for their product, the Nero Burning ROM, a burning software. Nero makes a variety of products which includes the Nero Multimedia Suite containing various software products like the CD/DVD burning product (Nero Burning ROM) and other tools like photo editing, audio editing, file conversion, video authoring, entertainment media center and backup. The Nero Digital Technology is licensed by Nero AG to unify circuit manufacturers. The Nero Scout is database program in which all media files are cataloged on a user’s computer; this database is available in other Nero 7 product packages other programs. This process can be taken out to widen the space of system resources and is a running program. It is executed by the process Windows Explorer by Microsoft and needs privileges to run as the currently logged in user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nmindexstoresvr.exe. is used by Nero Digital Technology, If you shut down nmindexstoresvr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
