Developed by Dell Incorporated, NicConfigSvc.exe is the executable file for Internal Card Power Management Service, the Dell power management program for the software NicConfigSvc or Network Internal Card Configuration Service. The three running functions of NicConfigSvc are:
• Process – NicConfigSvc runs upon system startup, along with the user’s extensive privileges when logged on to his account, representing the computer within the network
• Service – NicConfigSvc runs in the background along with the extensive privileges of the network computer
• Power management – works with Dell Remote Access Controller (DRAC) each with separate network connections, both regulate the system and supply power and energy to the network’s functionalities such as when the computer runs programs and loads the drivers, connects to the Web, does tasks, and when it shuts down and save configurations and settings. DRAC also helps to finish and protect currently running tasks even when the system crashes and changes may not be preserved upon system reboot.
