The process newtscannercvc.exe, known as NEWTScannerSVC Module, belongs to software NEWTScannerCOM Module by Komodo Laboratories. This executable file runs in the Task Manager of the computer. The module relates to the application NEWT Professional, which is a network inventory tool from Komodo. This application provides users with a tool for the scanning of items from NT-based machines with no user deployment time. This inventory software uses a new scan technology that can scan up to 100 computers within 5 minutes, without scan errors attributed to WMI misconfigurations. Compression of inventory data reduces network bandwidth use to as low as 25 kilobytes per second each way. Information gathered from scans is displayed in easy-to-read spreadsheet-like format that can include information like the true CPU type or speed, video adapter, monitor, Windows information, physical memory, and other related data. Information can be exported to HTML, CSV, or a Microsoft Access Database.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. newtscannersvc.exe. is used by NEWT Professional, If you shut down newtscannersvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop newtscannersvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NEWT Professional, from your system.
