What is  netscape.exe

The netscape.exe process is deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the Netscape Web browser, which is a tool used for browsing the Internet, checking email, sharing and downloading files across various network portals and conducting other Web-related activities. This means the netscape.exe process, upon activation, calls on other associated program files and references certain modular system components as well as other application-specific modules, in order to load the Netscape Web browser unto the system. These initialized program files and modules then implement the functionalities of the Netscape Web browser into the system, in order for the Netscape Web browser software to perform operations as requested by the user or the system. The netscape.exe process is normally found stored with other associated program files and modules in the same application folder where the Netscape Web browser software was installed, which is usually a sub directory that was created and labeled "Netscape" during the installation process, and this sub directory is normally found under the Program Files directory of the system partition.
