What is  navap.sys

The file navap.sys is recognized as a driver file for the program Symantec Antivirus Autoprotect. This program is a licensed product from Symantec Corporation. Antivirus Autoprotect is part of Symantec's Antivirus Software variations, often marketed under the brand name Norton. This antivirus software will identify all files that it deems harmful to the computer system. This includes viruses, spyware, malware, Trojan horses and worms. The Autoprotect features implements a scan, and in this program, they allow the user to assign safezones. By default, the entire computer is a safezone. Symantec Antivirus Autoprotect may be downloaded and installed independently or as part of the entire Security suite.
