The file process mysqld-max-nt.exe is a module that is a part of the program HP ProCurve Manager, also MySQL Server, or MySQL Servers and Clients, or Pocket Mechanic, or Benchmark Factory for Databases, or Motion Selector, or Mekashron Business, which is created by MySQL AB or Quest Software. This file is installed onto the computer, if the program that houses it is downloaded, and registers itself into a Windows registry, stores on a folder location, usually C:\Program Files, or C:\Documents and Settings, sometimes also in C:\Windows, and then automatically run in the background. It is not advisable to terminate or stop the mysqld-max-nt.exe file once it is installed on the PC, although it is not really an essential core component, but can be deleted if it is causing problem or error that affects the performance of the system. Like other executable files, mysqld-max-nt.exe is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, such as Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mysqld-max-nt.exe. is used by HP ProCurve Manager or MySQL Server, If you shut down mysqld-max-nt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mysqld-max-nt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP ProCurve Manager or MySQL Server, from your system.
