What is  msmgr.exe

Many user reports flag the msmgr.exe process as a malicious application associated with the Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.gen program, which is a family of backdoor rootkits and Trojans. Some users claim that the msmgr.exe process is a variant of the Trojan.IRCBot application, which is another family of malware programs. The same user reports state that the msmgr.exe process is capable of automatically initializing during system startup due to the keys and entries it can create and insert into the Windows System Registry upon its successful placement and activation in the Windows-based system. These user reports also claim that the msmgr.exe process is able to covertly operate as a background process to search for vulnerable TCP/IP network ports that it can exploit and use to download more malicious applications from remote servers that are managed by its authors.

How can I stop msmgr.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msmgr.exe. is used by Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.gen and Trojan.IRCBot, If you shut down msmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.gen and Trojan.IRCBot, from your system.
