The msksrvr.exe process is an executable component file of the McAfee SpamKiller software, which is an application classified as a system and email security management tool that was designed with a set of functionalities for monitoring, deleting and preventing email spam in the user's email client management program. The msksrvr.exe process is also known as the McAfee SpamKiller Server module, and the msksrvr.exe process is used and referenced by the McAfee SpamKiller software whenever the system or the user requires certain functionalities that correspond to the McAfee SpamKiller Server module. This means the msksrvr.exe file is activated by the McAfee SpamKiller software in order to load the McAfee SpamKiller Server module unto the McAfee SpamKiller application and implement its functionalities into the system. Upon execution, the msksrvr.exe process calls on other associated program files and references required modules to perform the requested operations of the system or the user from the McAfee SpamKiller software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msksrvr.exe. is used by McAfee SpamKiller and McAfee SpamKiller Server Module, If you shut down msksrvr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msksrvr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is McAfee SpamKiller and McAfee SpamKiller Server Module, from your system.
