What is  msdtssrvr.exe

The file msdtssrvr.exe is an executable file licensed under Microsoft. Its process name is SQL Server Integration Services, and it is part of Microsoft’s SQL Server. It is not a system file, but is instead installed to provide support for SQL Integration Services. The default folder of the file is C:\Program Files, with a specific directory path of C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\ msdtssrvr.exe. If the file was found on a computer that is not being used as a server, users do not recommend uninstalling it, because there could be a software program that installed it for support of its applications or modules. Memory leaks were reported by a few users, reaching up to the point of hogging the server’s memory. It was deducted that custom modules used by some of the packages stored were the reason behind the memory leaks. The process runs in the background, and can be disabled or enabled any time. If it runs on a server, users do not recommend disabling the file.
