What is  mscams64.exe

The file mscams64.exe, which is referred to as a MSCamSvc as its service name, is one of the components of Microsoft LifeCam, a software product created by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft LifeCam is a webcam created by Microsoft Corporation for Windows home computers and even laptops, and is available in different models, with some great features, including am embedded microphone for video chatting, Windows Live Messenger integration with Windows Live Call button, which allows direct support of the Internet, and enable instant video call. Upon the installation of the program Microsoft LifeCam, mscams64.exe is a file that runs in the background, which can be started by a Service Controller, then follows or obeys a service control protocol, but this can execute by itself, and launch other modules bundled in the same program. As an essential file of the software with a digital signature (Microsoft Corporation - Microsoft Time-Stamp Service), mscams64.exe must not be terminated or stopped, unless it starts to cause problems and errors.
