What is  mpfilt.sys

The mpfilt.sys process is a system driver utility that is bundled with Microsoft Windows XP and is implemented as one of the components that integrate the functionalities of the USB HID driver module, which is an applet that is also implemented into the Microsoft Windows XP OS.
