The miro_downloader.exe process is an executable application resource file that is used by the Miro software, which is a Windows program classified as an open source multimedia application. The Miro software was developed with a set of features for downloading video streams, playing digital music and videos, sharing files with other networked Windows-based computers with the Miro program, accessing the Amazon MP3 and Google app stores and converting digital videos into various formats among other multimedia functions. The miro_downloader.exe process is specifically deployed to assist the Miro software in implementing its bittorrent downloader engine and its other video stream downloading functionalities into the Windows-based system. This means the miro_downloader.exe process is included in the installer distribution packages of the Miro program and is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the Miro software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. miro_downloader.exe. is used by Miro, If you shut down miro_downloader.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop miro_downloader.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Miro, from your system.

Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
