The mim.exe process is the executable file for Y!Music Musicmatch Jukebox by Musicmatch, Incorporated. Originally named Musicmatch Jukebox, Y!Music Musicmatch is an audio player and digital audio library. The program contains an Internet radio, online store, CD playback and ripping, and features regularly found in jukeboxes. Y!Music Musicmatch Jukebox has a graphical, skinnable interface which allows users manage its digital music catalogue, as well as stream-based and CD audio capacity. It has an advanced AutoDJ, though it is reported as having a long boot-up time compared to other players. Its Plus version has faster burn and rip times, has exportable table charts and tech support, and has the "Super-Tagging" functionality which fetches for tag and album arts and attaches the artwork to the song files, allowing the user the customization of the art and tags in any files in the directory, as well as rename files based on the stored tags in the files.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mim.exe. is used by Musicmatch Jukebox, If you shut down mim.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mim.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Musicmatch Jukebox, from your system.
