The mesmtpc.exe file is deployed as the executable component process of a module that is built into the MailEnable email server development and management application, which is a program that can be installed in Windows servers to implement email server functionalities into the remote network server system. Upon execution, the mesmtpc.exe process loads the MailEnable SMTP Connector Service module unto the system and integrates its SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) functionalities into both the MailEnable software and the Windows server system. This allows local and remote network users as well as system administrators to access the SMTP connection features of the MailEnable mail server management application. The mesmtpc.exe process is normally stored in the same application folder where the MailEnable software was installed in the Windows server system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mesmtpc.exe. is used by MailEnable and MailEnable SMTP Connector Service Module, If you shut down mesmtpc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mesmtpc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MailEnable and MailEnable SMTP Connector Service Module, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as MailEnable and MailEnable SMTP Connector Service Module, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.

The first thing you should do if mesmtpc.exe. is causing errors on your computer is to run a Windows registry scan with Registry Reviver If you are still seeing errors after this you should uninstall the program that mesmtpc.exe, belongs to, in this case MailEnable and MailEnable SMTP Connector Service Module
