The mcuicnt.exe process is also known as the McAfee HTML UI Container and it is owned by the McAfee, Inc. The McAfee HTML UI Container is a part of McAfee Security Center, which is a security solution that enables users to monitor the security status of their computers, and to instantly know whether their PC’s spyware, e-mail, virus and firewall protection services are running up-to-date. This process offers trial subscriptions to McAfee’s security software. It considered to be an essential software as it has the ability to protect and secure its users from malicious contents with its abilities to secure software scans, and blocking of dangerous emails, online threats (Trojans, viruses, rootkits, spyware) and risky web contents. This process is a 32-bit running program and has privileges as the currently logged in user account. It is considered to be safe by its users, as well as useful, due to its abilities to protect users from harmful contents and minimize possible infections that the computer can seize.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mcuicnt.exe. is used by McAfee HTML UI Container, If you shut down mcuicnt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mcuicnt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is McAfee HTML UI Container, from your system.
