Mcods.exe is the executable file for McAfee On-Demand Scan, a security software responsible for controlling manual as well as scheduled virus scans. McAfee On-Demand Scan is reported to be an essential security software where users can select and configure anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall configurations to keep the system safe. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mcods.exe. is used by McAfee On Demand Scan, If you shut down mcods.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
