The manager.exe file is known by its service name called DeskMates Manager Module, also Manager MFC Application, or Download Manager ActiveX Control, which is one of the components of the program Akamai Download Manager ActiveX Control Module, or Deskmates Manager Module, or Manager Application, and is developed by Akamai Technologies. Upon the successful installation of the program that is associated with it, manager.exe is also downloaded onto the computer, since it is part of the list of components. In addition, this file is registered into the Windows registry, stored on a folder location, particularly in C:\Program Files or C:\Documents and Settings, and automatically run in the background, but also manually executed by the user at anytime. Other than that, manager.exe is a Windows file that is compatible with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98, and Windows 95.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. manager.exe. is used by Akamai Download Manager ActiveX Control Module or Deskmates Manager Module, If you shut down manager.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop manager.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Akamai Download Manager ActiveX Control Module or Deskmates Manager Module, from your system.
