The maagent.exe process is a type of an executable file that is known as, and is associated with MaSAFER Agent. This file is included during the installation of Samsung MP3 Player on Windows computer. What it does is to prevent the copying of unsecure files on the MP3 player. The maagent.exe file, or MaSAFER Agent, is a security or protection program that may be essential to a user so duplicates of files, especially those that are not secured, are prevented. This can also protect the software Samsung MP3 Player. It simply means that the process maagent.exe needs to remain stored on the computer system, and kept running in the background, unless the user wants to remove or uninstall the program associated with it. However, disabling this file has no effect to the system as long as it is uninstalled properly. Furthermore, this file is compatible to most Microsoft Windows operating systems, which includes Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 7.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. maagent.exe. is used by MaSAFER Agent, If you shut down maagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop maagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MaSAFER Agent, from your system.
