The process name for the file keyacc32.exe is KeyAccess or KeyAccess for Windows. This comes installed on the PC through the software KeyServer Package from Sassafras. The software provides a program that is generally utilized by network administrators in a corporate environment for license and asset management. The KeyAccess process is needed in order for end-users to run certain company software that is protected by a license key. If the file is disabled, software that requires a license key will not be able to execute on the end-user’s computer. The file works in support of the KeyServer software; where, when the software is launched, the process automatically launches as well to check license keys of software on client PCs. The file is typically around 331,776 bytes in size. Its general folder is C:\Windows\keyacc32.exe. The file is also sometimes installed in C:\Program Files. If the file has been found to cause system or application crashes on a PC that is not connected to a network, it may be safe to disable it; otherwise, network administrators should be the one to troubleshoot the issue so as to avoid causing more issues that could affect the entire network.
