The katmouse.exe process is an executable program file distributed alongside other EXE application resources, certain SYS driver utilities, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various components that are used and referenced by the KatMouse software. The katmouse.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the KatMouse program, which is a Windows application classified as a mouse enhancement utility tool with a set of features for implementing additional functionalities into mouse devices with scroll wheels that are connected to Windows-based systems. The katmouse.exe file and the other components of the KatMouse software are placed in the system upon the installation of the KatMouse application, which also means the katmouse.exe file is packaged into the installer distributions of the KatMouse program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. katmouse.exe. is used by KatMouse, If you shut down katmouse.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop katmouse.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is KatMouse, from your system.
