The process hwn.exe is an executable file associated with the program Hide Window Now which is a tool manufactured by Anloer Software allowing users to have privacy by hiding opened/running windows on the computer’s desktop. Not much information is available for the programs as it may have not been updated by the authors any longer. The program is similar to other window hiding tools such as Hide Window Plus which hides the running windows on the desktop giving the user privacy as well as a more organized and uncluttered desktop. The process is an executable command file belonging to a third party Windows program which basically contains a set of functions, variables and data that when executed allows the program to run in the system. EXE files are usually located in the installation folder of the program. It is deployed in the system upon launching Hide Window Now and can be found to be readily available in the distributed software package.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hwn.exe. is used by Hide Window Now, If you shut down hwn.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hwn.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hide Window Now, from your system.
