What is  httpd.exe

Apache HTTP Server has an internal name called httpd.exe. The file belongs to the software called Apache HTTP Server. And the software is from the Apache Software Foundation. The program deals with the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) or the Internet. The file can be usually found in the C: directory under the Program Files folder. The file has the known size of 20,539 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the file size may vary when used in different versions of Microsoft Windows Operating System such as the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file does not belong to the Windows core file and uses any open port to connect to the Local Area Network (LAN) and as well as the Internet. In case problem arise with the said file, the user may have the option to remove the file by removing the entire file in which the file is associated with. This can be done with the use of the Add/Remove Programs utility.
