The hpzipm12.dll file is referred to as PML Driver Service, which is a component of certain software products made by Hewlett-Packard or HP, including HP PML or Pml Driver HPZ12, HP Photo and Imaging, HP LaserJet, HP Color LaserJet, and HP Deskjet. PML Driver Service is a type of background service that is installed by the drivers used for one of the different series of HP printing devices. What this service does is to handle non-printing related communications, like scanning, photocopying, and accessing a card reader, between the computer and the printer. In other words, the hpzipm12.dll file is an important part of the program that houses it, because it enables all those functions to work. Without this file, the tasks to handle non-printing communications with any of the associated devices may not work. It also means that whenever a program that includes this file is installed, hpzipm12.dll is downloaded and stored on the computer system too. A user has to keep this file running so its task is enabled.
