The hotpop.exe file is a process that sends or receives data to and from the Internet or LAN through open ports. It is not a system process. It does not use a visible window. It can monitor programs. This file has no digital signature. This file is an executable. A file with an EXE extension is an executable file or program in OS/2, Symbian, Windows, OpenVMS and DOS operating systems. Aside from the executable program, various EXE files contain components called resources like icons and bitmaps that the executable program can use for its GUI or graphical user interface. An executable is a file that can be run by an operating system on computer. E-mail attachment with EXE extension should come from a reputable source to make sure that it is not a virus.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hotpop.exe. is used by hotpop.exe, If you shut down hotpop.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hotpop.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is hotpop.exe, from your system.
