The hmxutil6x.exe file is the process called MCT5001.exe that is used by an application created by Magic Control Technology. This is not a visible program. It runs when you start Windows. It uses the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. It can record keyboard inputs. The hmxulti6x.exe file is a non-system process that originates from the program installed in the system. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. MCT or Magic Control Technology produces hardware such as USB display adapter, USB docking station, USB link cable, multiple workstation, USB connectivity and archive. The company offers solutions for technical and product development from USB peripherals to networking services and multi-user system. The current products include PCI-E Docking Solution, USB peripherals, multi-user multimedia workstation and network and server attached storage for networking products.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hmxutil6x.exe. is used by Hmxutil6x.exe, If you shut down hmxutil6x.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hmxutil6x.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hmxutil6x.exe, from your system.
