The hkeyapp.exe process is included in the set of program files of the Panasonic Hotkey Appendix module, which is an applet that is bundled with the firmware and device driver software resources of certain Panasonic hardware components and devices. The hkeyapp.exe process is an executable file that is implemented with data encoding and compression specifications normally integrated into content stored in the EXE file format. Since the hkeyapp.exe contains program logic data, source code compilation standards are also implemented into the hkeyapp.exe file. Upon user request, the Panasonic Hotkey Appendix applet executes the hkeyapp.exe process in order to initiate other associated program files, program-specific modules and modular system resources. The hkeyapp.exe process calls on these files and modules in order to load the functionalities requested by the user from the Panasonic Hotkey Appendix applet unto the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hkeyapp.exe. is used by Panasonic Hotkey Appendix, If you shut down hkeyapp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hkeyapp.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Panasonic Hotkey Appendix, from your system.
