The hello21.exe file is the process called LaunchAnywhere GUI that is used by the applicatin LaunchAnywhere created by Zero G. This process sends or receives data to and from the Internet or LAN through open ports. It is not a system process. There is no visible window for this program. LaunchAnywhere is originally known as InstallAnywhere created by Zero G Software. It is acquired by Macrovision in 2005. InstallAnywhere is later on sold to Acresso Software that changed its name to Flexera Software in October of 2009. InstallAnywhere is a software utility that is based on Java. It is used for creating software packages and installers for multiple systems. It can make Virtual Appliances for Linux systems using existing software packages and installers. LaunchAnywhere serves as Java application launcher. A LaunchAnywhere Executable is a file that launches a Java application on platform that is compatible with LaunchAnywhere. This launcher locates the proper Java Virtual Machine or JVM automatically that is already installed in the system or comes together with the application. The launcher also configures the environment for the Java application by passing in environment variables, system properties and command line parameters, setting the classpath and redirecting standard error and standard out among others.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hello21.exe. is used by LaunchAnywhere, If you shut down hello21.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hello21.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is LaunchAnywhere, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as LaunchAnywhere, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
