The hdthemeenabler.exe file is the process called Hyperdesk Theme Enabler Service that is used by the application Hyperdesk created by The Skins Factory. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. It is a non-system process that originates from the software installed in the system. It can control and monitor other programs. Hyperdesk lets you change the appearance of your Windows desktop by selecting from a variety of skins, widgets, themes, wallpapers and other applications referred to as hypersuites. It has a stable way of producing Windows themes using Microsoft skinning engine. It does not affect or replace your system files. Every installation of Hyperdesk has a custom hypersuite. The commercial interface artists of Skins Factory handcraft the designs of the themes. The Hyperdesk application runs on Windows Vista, XP and 7.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hdthemeenabler.exe. is used by Hyperdesk, If you shut down hdthemeenabler.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hdthemeenabler.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hyperdesk, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
