Most reports by anti-virus programs and users recognize the gtsrp.exe file as malware. Microsoft identifies this file as Adware:Win32/Zhongsou. It is not a visible process. It runs when you boot Windows. Malware or malicious software is a program created to steal sensitive or private information, interrupt with the normal operations of the system or gain access to private systems without the knowledge of the owner. It can be in the form of another software, scripts, code or active content. It is also known as intrusive or hostile software. Adware [advertising-supported software] is a type of malware. It shows advertisements automatically for the author to gain revenue. These ads can appear in the software user interface or presented on screen while the user is installing the software. It may be created to analyze the Websites visited by the user and to search and present advertisements that are related to them.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gtsrp.exe. is used by Adware:Win32/Zhongsou, If you shut down gtsrp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gtsrp.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Adware:Win32/Zhongsou, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
