The gtablet.exe file is the process called Tablet Control Panel Program used by the application Graphics Tablet by KYE Systems Corp. It is not a system process. A graphics tablet [also known as digitizer] serves as computer input device that allows you to hand-draw graphics and images just like the way you use pencil and paper. This device also allows handwritten signatures and capturing of data. It can trace an image from a paper taped or secured to the surface called digitizing. The device has a flat surface where the user can trace or draw an image using a stylus [pen-like apparatus]. The image does not show on the tablet but on the computer monitor instead. Some tablets may also be used to replace a mouse for navigation and pointing on desktop computers. KYE Systems Corp. is a manufacturer of computer-related devices like game controllers, keyboards, mouse and graphic tablets for other companies and for its own brand, Genius, as well.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gtablet.exe. is used by Graphics Tablet or Genius Tablet, If you shut down gtablet.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gtablet.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Graphics Tablet or Genius Tablet, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Graphics Tablet or Genius Tablet, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
