Grooveex.dll is the driver file for Microsoft Office Groove, a desktop application especially designed for the collaboration of documents by teams and its members who are not sharing the same network or who are not online on the same time. The components involved in the Office Groove make up are: Internet Explorer BHO – the browser plug-in that can provide toolbars without changing the visible interface settings; Shell Execute Hook – the application extensions for Windows functions involving the regular Windows programs such as the Microsoft office, Notepad, and the Run dialog box for executing commands; Context Menu Handler – the menu handler for various operations (e.g. printing from the Internet Explorer browser) on the all-around functionality of Office Groove represented by an “xxx” tag; Approved Shell Extension – takes care of the digital certificates of the external program download requests approved by the user. These Microsoft Office Groove modules each have their separate CLSID or globally unique identifier.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. grooveex.dll. is used by Microsoft Office Groove, If you shut down grooveex.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop grooveex.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Office Groove, from your system.
