The file goodsearch.dll, known as GoodSearch Toolbar, belongs to software GoodSearch Toolbar by GoodSearch. The GoodSearch Toolbar is a Yahoo-powered search engine, online shopping mall, and restaurant-dining program that contributes 50% of its revenue, about a penny per search, to the non-profit organization and charities or school designated by its users. The donated money comes from the search engine advertisers, participating restaurants, and merchants. The GoodSearch Toolbar integrates with the Internet Explorer (IE), providing a link to GoodShop and allowing the user to search without visiting the main GoodSearch page. Chrome can use GoodSearch from the search bar by choosing it as the default search engine within settings, while Firefox can be configured to search GoodSearch from the search bar with the help of an add-on or from the address bar. A number of celebrities have created videos promoting GoodSearch and the causes they sponsor.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. goodsearch.dll. is used by GoodSearch Toolbar, If you shut down goodsearch.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
